Studio West Photography is a premier photographic studio, possessing numerous awards and recognition for its intensely compelling images. Graduating with a degree from the Arts Center College of Design in Los Angeles, Wes Isbutt established Studio West in 1991.
An accomplished artist, Isbutt refers to his pieces as "spontaneous creations." His many years as a successful photographer have taught him about the intricacies of form, enabling him to master the precise placement of color and light. "I feel like I was born to do this," explains Isbutt. "Nothing is more fulfilling than capturing the perfect image."
Working with numerous subjects, Studio West creates the majority of its photographs for commercial purposes, producing captivating still lifes and carefully meditated images. When viewing Isbutt's work, there is a vast richness that surfaces, supported by an infusion of carefully directed light and softly muted backgrounds. A simple wine goblet becomes a priceless centerpiece illuminated with exquisite clarity and potency, as Isbutt directs his camera to it.
Greatly contributing to the Las Vegas community, Studio West is the mastermind behind the Arts Factory, a renovated warehouse building located in the central downtown area. Housing several artist studios, galleries and advertising agencies, the building is a one-of-a-kind conglomeration of artists. Studio West has sponsored many gatherings within The Arts Factory, including "Downtown Arts in the City Week." Receiving exceptional acclaim, the event appeared on the front page of the New York Times. Strategically located to encourage art and culture, The Arts Factory, through the assistance of Studio West, has repeatedly championed artistic expression, giving new hope and vitality to Las Vegas' downtown area.
Studio West, known for photography that transcends the standard, has become a valued member of the Las Vegas arts community. The exceptional quality every one of its images emanates, permeates throughout its vast body of work. "We're capturing an idea," says Isbutt. "Our images interpret emotions, and this is the purity I love most about photography."
